Week 10 highlight: Sleepover on a houseboat.

We enjoy the beautiful drive along the powerline road every day, to take Tim to work. This week our neighbour spotted 2 lionesses along that same road!

Its also easy to wake up at 5am to go for a run when it's 30 degrees and your sunrises look like this....

On Monday morning Pod and Jords arrived for their houseboat trip and invited me and Lil to come for a quick spin as they left. It was such a cool experience, and always fun to spend time with these special people. She also spoilt us by bringing us some of her farm reared lamb mmmm!

The boys were hard at work/school and didn't get to join us on our little girls trip...but Jords invited us to come out for a few hours on Friday evening too, which was awesome. When we got to the houseboat she said that if we are happy to crash on mattresses then we are welcome to sleep over, so that was a no brainer! I'm not sure who was more excited: LJ or Tim!

The boys joined in for the evening fishing trip. Not as lucky as at the bream farm, but an awesome experience with some pro's. They had caught an 8,5kg tiger that morning, which was bigger than anything caught in tiger tournament (also happening this week)!

It was amazing to sleep on the top level under the stars with just a shade net above us. There was a cool breeze and surprisingly no mosquitos bothering us. We started off under the mozzie net but it blocked the breeze so we took it off in the night when we were getting hot.

When Lily woke up at sunrise she was very confused about where she was, but she spotted the boys snuggling and crawled across to join in.

This little guy's love of boats just keeps getting stronger! He was very excited to drive the houseboat and then enjoyed pretending to drive the pontoon boat that was being towed behind the houseboat.
